Marvin Warren Thurman passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Marvin was born on April 6, 1949 in Pawnee, OK to Marshall Thurman and Lola (McClellan) Thurman. He graduated from Shawnee High School and attended O.S.U. Tech. in Okmulgee. Marvin worked as a journeyman millwright most of his life. He was a founding member of the A.I.R.A.O. Region 8 and was named Sac and Fox Sr. Man of the Year in 2016.

Kaye Larrine (Young) Napoleon passed away on May 11, 2024. She was born June 18, 1945 to Charlie and Ethel (Buckley) Young in Brooksville, OK. Kaye graduated from Macomb High School in 1962 and became an LPN. She married Bobby Lee Napoleon on December 23, 1967 at St. John Baptist Church in Brooksville, OK. Kaye worked at Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Tecumseh for 25 years until her retirement. Kaye also worked at Seminole Nursing home for many years.

Clara May (Aldrich) DeLong, 89, passed away May 11, 2024. Clara was born on April 21, 1935 in Lookout, OK to James (Jim) and Mildred (Bliss) Aldrich.

Cecil “Alan” Smith passed away May 11th, 2024. He was born October 28, 1953 in Clinton, OK to Bill Smith and Vaunciel Albin.

Austin Lee Winn, age 26, of Tecumseh, OK passed away May 12, 2024. Austin was born on June 8, 1997, in Shawnee, OK, to Denis and Shelby Winn née Ladd. Cherished by all who knew him, Austin graduated from Tecumseh High School with the class of 2015, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and fond memories playing football and rodeoing.

Jacqueline, “Jackie” Strozier McCoy Roberts passed away on April 24, 2024. Jackie was born on October 18, 1938 in Maud, OK. She was a receptionist for Dr. Bell at the Shawnee Regional Medical Center Clinic in the 70’s and a realtor in Shawnee for decades.

Marvin Edward (Eddie) Waldron was born on Oct. 1, 1964 to Oliver Robert (Bob) Waldron and Wanda (McAdams) Mitchell in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on Apr. 15, 2024 at his residence in Maud, OK at the age of 59.

Randy Joe Lack passed away Apr. 22, 2024. He was born Mar. 8, 1953 in Norman, OK to Billy Joe and Etta Jane (Rollins) Lack. Randy graduated from Norman High School. He received a teaching degree from East Central University. He has worked as a produce manager at Safeway in Norman, and as a child welfare worker for DHS for Pottawatomie County. He was currently working as a social service caretaker for the Shawnee Senior Citizens Center. Randy was a deacon and youth pastor at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Tecumseh for many years.

Bonnie Crossley passed away on Apr. 22, 2024. She was 98 years old. Bonnie was born on Feb. 19, 1926 in Dallas, TX to William Hugh Bullard and Cornelia Elizabeth Bullard. Bonnie married Thomas Crossley on Apr. 29, 1945 and they were married for 65 years before his passing. She attended the University of Texas in Austin and later worked as a legal secretary in Dallas for 10 years and at the Shawnee Printing Co. for four years.

John C Smith passed away on Apr. 21, 2024. John was born on July 24, 1946 to Otis Truman and Levada Lottie (Wisdom) Smith in Shawnee, OK. John married Sandra Ellen (Sneed) on Nov. 18, 1966, in Tecumseh, OK. John worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 35 years. He started as an aircraft electrician on the B-52 in 1966 which fostered his love of airplanes. After he retired in 2001, he worked part-time at Vater Office Furniture developing their clients’ office layouts.
