Lola Mae Carter

Lola Mae Carter passed away Apr. 17, 2024, at the age of 91. Lola was born on Apr. 30, 1932, to John Dock Smith and Lonnie Mae Castner Smith. On Dec. 7, 1949, she married the love of her life Zack Coy Carter. For 33 years, she selflessly devoted herself to the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Treatment Center, where her compassion and commitment left an enduring impact on the lives of countless individuals.

She is preceded in death by her husband Zack Coy Carter; sons: Zack Carter Jr., Randy Carter, Zackary Carter, Gary Carter; brothers: JD Smith, Grady Smith, Bobby Smith, Johnny Smith; and sisters: Lexie Gouker, and Louise Crouch.

Left to cherish her memory are family members Raymond Smith (brother), Ronnie and Joy Carter Deatherage, Jason and Brandie Carter, Chance and Emilee Carter, Apr. and Cory Bugg, and Leslie and Scott Draper, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and countless other family members.

Services were held on Apr. 28 at Living Love Christian Center located at 1000 North Kennedy Avenue, Shawnee, OK 74801. Brother Mark Guinn officiated the ceremony.Randy Lack Obituary
