Chad David Dean passed away Apr. 27, 2024 at the age of 50. Chad was born on June 15, 1973 in Shawnee, OK to Ronnie Dean and Cathy (Finley) Berkstresser. Chad graduated from Shawnee High School in 1992. Chad was an active BMS racer and loved a dune buggy which he took great pride in its ownership. He also did some modeling as a young man. Chad was a proud member of the Citizens Potawatomi Nation. Following high school, Chad joined the US Navy. After his discharge from the Navy, he joined the US Army.

Lola Mae Carter

Lola Mae Carter passed away Apr. 17, 2024, at the age of 91. Lola was born on Apr. 30, 1932, to John Dock Smith and Lonnie Mae Castner Smith. On Dec. 7, 1949, she married the love of her life Zack Coy Carter. For 33 years, she selflessly devoted herself to the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Treatment Center, where her compassion and commitment left an enduring impact on the lives of countless individuals.

Larry Lancaster, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, Mar. 26, 2024. He was born June 4, 1943 to Fred and Ana Jean Lancaster. Larry was a wonderful car salesman, ending up with his lot, Quality Used Cars in Shawnee, for over 21 years.

Phyllis Mary (Lohman) Dunham passed away April 16, 2024. Phyllis was born to Willie “Fred” and Evelyn (Stewart) Lohman on May 6, 1942, in Ventura, CA. She graduated from Del City High in 1960. Phyllis and Kenny Dunham were married on August 29th, 1969, in Valley Brooke, OK. She retired from Tinker in 2011 after 42 years of Civil Service.

Gregory Irl Kieson

Gregory Irl Kieson passed away on April 14, 2024. Gregory was born in Columbus, WI and settled in Oklahoma in 1998. A respected member of the Moore Norman Technology Institute community, Greg was instrumental in developing the Small Business Incubator, helping local entrepreneurs achieve their dreams. As a world-traveler, Greg took great pride in engaging with people all over the world and finding ways to encourage inclusion and diversity through cultural exchange. Having spent years working in South and Central America and with business ventures in Africa and Asia, he collected stories and friends from around the world. Greg also took great joy in engaging with the community at the local Elk’s Lodge #417 which served as a foundation of his social life in Oklahoma.

Patricia Lee Ward

Patricia Lee Ward passed away, April 21, 2024. Patricia was born July 20, 1945 in Concho, OK to Freeland Wood Sr. and Lorene (Mack) Wood. She attended North Rock Creek and Shawnee High School. Patricia worked most of her life as a hairdresser. She was a member of the Sac and Fox Nation where she had been a former Elder of the Year.
