Lady Savages Claim District With Three Straight Wins

The Lady Savage Slow Pitch squad claimed a District Championship last Wednesday with three straight wins. After Blanchard runruled Crooked Oak in the opening game of the District Tournament, the Lady Savages sent Crooked Oak home in a 15-0 threeinning run-rule win.

Savages Celebrate Senior Night With Win Over Prague

Last week was a winning one for Savage Baseball, with a 3-1 record. Tecumseh opened the week with a come-from-behind win on Monday. After being down 5-0, the Savages came all the way back to take a walk-off 6-5 win in the bottom of the seventh over Cleveland (See the story in last week’s Countywide.)

Asher Dominates Districts, Outscoring Opponents 63-1

The Asher Indians had an impressive performance in District play last week, winning all three games and outscoring their opponents by a massive margin of 63-1. In the first game against the Maysville Warriors, Asher took an early lead by scoring 4 runs in the first inning and continued to dominate the game by adding 11 more runs by the end of the third inning, making the score Asher 15— Maysville 0.

Lady Indians Secure District Title with Double Victory

The Asher Lady Indians played two games and won both, securing the District title. In the first game, they held the Paden Lady Pirates scoreless in the top of the first inning and then scored four runs in the bottom of the inning. They continued to dominate, adding eight more runs in the second and third inning, while preventing Paden from scoring. The final score was 12-0. Cadence Leba had a great game, going 3-for-3 and driving in three runs. Magi Melton was also 3-for-3 and had two RBIs, while Mackenzie Thompson and Alexis Johnston each had two RBIs.

Tecumseh Savages Continue To Improve

The Tecumseh Savages continue to improve on the diamond and their clutch hitting showed up on Monday night as they hosted Cleveland. The Tigers jumped on top early, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning, and then added a run in the top of the fourth, which appeared to be an insurance run.
