Bethel Girls And Boys Powerlifters Medal In Regionals

Bethel Girls & Boys Powerlifting split up this week to take on tough fields for their respective Regional Powerlifting Meets. The Girls began the week by traveling to Tishomingo to take on the field of the South Regional. Representing Bethel Girls Powerlifting for the first time in school history on the Regional/State Level, Bethel took three junior high and three high school girls to take on a Field that consisted of over 700 lifters from schools, from Class C all the way up to Class 6A.
After stealing the ball, Tecumseh senior Brady Overstreet makes two points in the last minute- and-a-half of the homecoming game against Bethel on Feb. 3. One minute later, his teammate Jace Edwards made anothe r basket. The Savages lost, 61- 70. Countywide & Sun/Natasha Dunagan

Basketball Homecoming is a big deal on a high school campus and sometimes can lead to lethargy on the floor for the home team. Homecoming, and having to play the early game of the night, could have been problematic early for Savages last Friday night as Tecumseh hosted Bethel on the big night.
